Basic parameters adjusted to increase hp?

Basic parameters adjusted to increase hp? I have LS1 edit and was wondering what is changed to increase horsepower? I was thinking it was the following:
-air/fuel mixture - try to get 880 - 890 at wide open throttle (I thought that was equivalent to around 12.8 to 1 air / fuel ratio.
-timing - try to get 29 - 30 degrees of timing at wide open throttle (if engine permits (no KR)).
Is this accurate? Is there more?

You really can't tune for WOT with the factory O2's. They are not accurate at that A/F ratio.
