Default How do I get rid of TM or something else

I have been having a problem with my car on the shifts (A4). First the car feels like it's shifting and autotap shows it's shifting but the rpm's stay at 4000 for 5 seconds. Now today I adjust the torque levels from 650 to 950 and the shifts are so much better now but I'm still getting the 4000 rpm thing, although not as violent. The car kinda sounds like it's hitting some kind of rev limiter but at 4000 rpm. Now it's pulling out of gear when it reaches 5500 rpm and staying at 4000 rpm for 5 seconds and then returning to normal. This is only at wot anything below that I never have a problem.

your not doing anything about TM there. I didnt change my max TQ number and its stil at 350

but you go to spark retard limit under engine/ignition

i played with my upper rpms cause it was no point in deleting TM in the lower rpms since you mainly want it gone on WOT

i edited mine from 5000-6600 and set my timing so it didnt drop below 20 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Cause before my timing dropped to -4.5 sometimes

log your timing advance on atap to see if its dropping on your shifts

Timing is not droping at all, even when the engine stays at 4000 rpms for 5 seconds the timing is right on and never moves.

Let me guess, you have a 01 or 02 with a TC and TransGo shift kit correct?

When I had a FLP Level IV tranny installed (which uses TransGo) I had the same exact problem. This is a known issue with the combo listed above and TransGo is aware of it as well. What happened in my case was the violent shift caused the pcm to go into abuse mode, causing it to use the values in the spark retard limit table (default -10 degrees). I upped these values to +20 degrees and deleted everything associated with TM and the issue was resolved.

Stock converter and no shift kit. Yesterday we adjusted a few things and it shifted fine and then the motor started ticking. It's being taken apart today and we think it might be a broken 941 spring. The motor won't spin over at all though.
