Rev Limiter at 9000 rpm in 5th gear on 2002 Z06???
Just got my LS1Edit. Downloaded the stock PCM.
1st-4th limiter = 6600.
5th = 9000????
6th=6600
Huh? Shoulda kept driving past 6600, but I let out at 6500. Think this is for real?
Where do you adjust Limiter on a M6 car? The gear table right?

I adjusted mine in the gear table. Column one to 6800 and column two to 6799 on my car.
I wonder if they put it at 9000 in 5th because you realisticly cant over rev the stock engine in 5th because you'll run out of power at that speed.

I read the PCM in the second time. Same.
Maybe it was done by Chevy, OR...
LS1Edit didn't read the right value for that gear.
Here's the big question...
Does an M6 car KNOW what gear it's in? If so, how? By the speedo? My trans has 3 wires that I'm aware of:
CAGS
Temp
Reverse sensor
There isn't a sensor for the gears, and the speedo drives off the wheels, not the driveshaft.

Makes me think the "Gear Table" isn't what it appears to be on a M6 car. I know AutoTap says it's in first, no matter what gear it's in.

I do not see why they'd do 9k RPM in there.
I would email Ken ( pcmdoc@surfree.com ) and see if he's run across that before. GM changes calibrations all of the time, so they could have moved that value (since your car is an '02).
Worth an email, I'd think.
