Looks like 99/00 Holden cars have thresholds based on altitude Low, Medium and High and starting at, whereas 01/02 models have just the one level of thresholds with a base setting of .

Holdens that are exported to Saudi countries etc which I dont think have cats have it toggled off but all values set high at 1280

Does anyone know if the 97-98 LS1Edit software has this option? All I can find related to CAT Over Temp are some tables with numbers in them. I cannot find anywhere to disable it.

Thanks,

Matt...it's in the new update (Version 1.1). You have to install the update and you will see it.

BTW, when I was running 10.9 @ 123 with heads/cam, that was with a bone stock maf. No restriction at that point!

thanks man what a difference!!

I swapped MAFs and went for a spin (cleaned the stock descreened MAF with contact cleaner too)

Felt like a small nitrous shot kicked in above 5000rpm. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I bet my AF below 5000rpm has richened a bit but above 5000rpm I bet my AF doesnt tank to 10.5:1 anymore. What a huge difference. Going to dyno next week and straighten out the AF ratio.
Thanks again, I am goin to turn off the COT feature too and set everything up again AF wise.
Cheers,
Chris

I picked up 30RWHP in the midrange and about at total of 35RWHP up top from the switch from ported MAF to stock descreened MAF and turning off the COT feature <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

No cats on my car. I have the graph here in front of me with the new pull only. I will try and get a graph printed comparing the screwed up MAF, COT on graph to the nice stock descreened MAF/COT off graph.
at 4500rpm there was a 35RWHP difference LOL
at 6500rpm 30RWHP peak difference. Felt like a small nitrous shot was added to the car. Remember though the tune was totally out of whack with the ported MAF. (had an A4 and switched to six speed with A4 tune still in the car)

Cheers,
Chris

I just got done dynoing with cats on the car. My a/f tanked down to 11.7 EVERYTIME the car got above 4500 rpm.

I will be pulling the cats tonight, and redynoing the car with the cats off, and the cat overtemp feature off.

I should be able to post before and after results.

Before Results <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

348 lb/ft trq
356 HP @ 6100 rpm.

ChrisB, you can uses these pictures if you want, if you look at the AFR in the first one is 11.3:1 while the second is with the COT increased by 10% across the whole table, and the end results is 12.8:1 AFR, i still havn't dyno tested to see my gain.
Ingored the Knock Retard it is fault knock retard.

Does anyone know what the PCM has to see in order to set the COT mode?
