Odd HPP3 Questions
Anyways, at one point they said, "However, it doesn't modify the partial throttle shift points on cars with automatic transmissions. Thus, even with the programmer, partial throttle shifts will still occur at higher RPMs than with the stock gearing."
What does that mean? I haven't a clue...
I believe they were only talking about LT1's with the way it was written, but it could also mean LS1's which is what I have. This is why I ask.
Another question I had is it really true that when you get new headers, cam, or supercharger you can send it back to the company to have them modify the HPP3 especially for these performance parts?
Again, I am not sure if they are just talking about LT1's, or both LT1's and LS1's.
I know that you can make the shift points higher for a new camshaft, but I am not sure if that would be as good as the company would be able to do. As for the headers, I didn't know you couldn't modify your own HPP3 when you put on performance headers...
The HPP3 does nothing in the form of a header improvement other than maybe the Power tuning. It would lean the car out to counter balance the possible rich condition that the headers could cause.
