Gauge Re-Setting or Recalibration ?
With engine at operating temp and idling, I felt I did a fairly accurate job of marking and indexing position of all the gauge needles prior to their removal.
Install went successfully until the time to fire it up and go for a test spin. The only gauge that appears to accurate is the tach, based on it's indicated idle and shift point rpm's I'm accustomed to.
All other gauges are off by snall to large amounts. (speedo is approx 5+ mph fast, fuel gauge reads a solid 1/4 tank low which is now giving me a "check gauge" message due to a lot of driving yesterday and the fuel gauge down to approx 1/4 tank, temp reads low, etc.)
I had thought I was very careful to not turn the needle mount in the gauge cluster upon pressing the needles back on in their relative position, but apparently not the case.
Is there any way to re-set or recalibrate the gauge needles without removal and "trial & error" of removing and reinstalling the respective needles??
Thanks for any advice or suggestions you might have.
Doug
