How much timing advance is too much??

Okay, I hadda problem w/ timing (and tuning basically). Been working through it all. John Bz had a *brainflash* and overwrote my low octane tables w/ the same #'s as the high octane tables.
Car pretty much runs like a raped ape, now. But, since the tables show 30 degrees pretty much across the board at WOT from 5000rpms up, the obvious question is:
What would happen if I set the PCM for 31? Or 32? Would there be anymore hidden hp? What factors determine the # to be set at what rpm?
Car has 1.8 rockers, 218/224 @ 112 cam, LS6 IM, LT's, LM, 2.055 x 1.60 valves, ported everything except MAF (learned a lesson there <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> ).
I don't want much. I just want more <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

You are eventually going to reach a point of diminishing returns. For every increase in timing, you are going to get smaller and smaller gains while raising the chances of KR.
Unless you are running race fuel or have a lowered compression, then I would just advance the timing as far as you can until you see KR. Then back it off a couple degrees for safety.
