Personally, I prefer a PC based scanning package such as AutoTap or EFILive due to the ability to monitor much more data a one time (I used EFILive)and the ability to log and review a ton of data.

Re: Scan Master ???? well i was thinking of getting one of theose efi things. The only problem is i dont have a laptop just a normal desktop computer is there any program that can be used with a desktop
Re: Scan Master ???? desktop would be pretty awkward..autotap could be hooked up to desktop no problem but most tests require you to actually drive the car,not have it idle in your garage.So wouldn't be that useful.
Buy the scanmaster..its great..its small..easy to use.keep it always in the car ..If you get a major problem you will know right away.and you can always test and tune etc.laptops are awkward and annoying to try to use with one person.You can log runs but so much easier to see whats happening in real time.I do have autotap also and do have a nice laptop that I bought cheap just for it and maybe ls1 edit.You can do a pretty good job tuning your car with scanmaster and even just a maft.or course you can't get rid of codes like for no egr,no cats,no air,etc..This new diablo might be somthing to consider.
