LS1 Edit vs. Auto tap

LS1 Edit vs. Auto tap first of forgive me, im new to this computer tuning stuff. Im lookin into a set of headers with no cats and a cam set up, and i realize that tuning will need to take place. what is better ls1 edit or auto tap? what is the price difference between the two? can i get away with tunning these mods with the lesser of the two? i am like a spong for info, so if someone could fill me in to everything i need to know, it would be great!!!!!

Re: LS1 Edit vs. Auto tap A-tap and LS1 Edit are different tools. A-tap, or better yet EASE, monitor your car's parameters such as O2s, injector pulse width, LTFTs, RPMs, and so forth. LS1 Edit is an editing tool, only, that allows you to make changes in your PCM based on information gleaned from A-tap or EASE. You need both programs to tune your car. TeamZR1, John, sells EASE for about $350., and he'll set you up and get you going too (over the phone). Nice guy too. LS1 Edit is available from http://www.carputing.com.
