Default Torque Management on a m6?

I have heard conflicting statements...Is torque management an issue with an m6?, and why or why not?
Thanks for your help <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Yes TM is a function of a MN6 based car for TM is used to protect the drivetrain, used in traction control and active handing.
I would assume TM is more involved with the Corvette then a F-body since it has features that the F-body might not have.

You can prove to yourself when TM is active on your car by using a decent PCM scanner that gives you correct values for Delivered Torque.

When you see negative values it happens either because you have made a large lift of g-pedal OR
TM has kicked in.
If your into the G-pedal and see negative values, then TM has kicked in.
Here is a example, same car, left side shows after I tuned the powertrain,
middle shows how lifting g-pedal or TM kicking in values and
right side allows you to compare Deltq to left side and see how less TM kicking in helps overall performance when the hammer is down.

TM only kicks in when your doing sudden engine loads such as drag racing, else you can exceed the maximum TM value GM put in the PCM so being on a chassie dyno has less chance of SPIKING over TM max then a hard launch does.

I do NOT recommend turning off TM as some PCM tuners are doing, rather spend the proper time and tune the PCM calibraton for best performance, but leaving TM functional so that if real world issues arise TM can help prevent ElCrasho.
