Default Can a Hypertech Power Programmer be reset

Used my HPP III on my 99 WS6 and then totaled it. Insurance company has it now. Can the HPP III be reset without my car?

You gotta use it on your car to "put it back to stock" mode, which is the only way it would be reset in the way that someone else could use it.

Can it be used to turn off the check engine light permanently to help a OBD-II Z28 pass emissions?

even if you return to stock it will only work on your car you have to send to hypertech to reset to work on another car and they charge you 100 bucks if you have the power pack which i did its 200 bucks i found this out when i went hp tuners and i was going to sell it now im stuck with it unless a pay 200 bucks
