Anyone got one of these and done dyno tests??

I had one in my 2000 SS and noticed zero power gains. I recently read a post about what mods not to do, and it was on there. Hope this helps

Speak for yourself I have it and I raced a buddy of mine with it and without and with identical launches, no wheel spin games there was a 3 car lenght difference with it to without. So to answer your question for the little money it is it is an awesome bang for the buck.

bascially it sucks!! Ran faster without the chip than i did with it. Yes I tested it in almost the exact same conditions

I think HP TV dynoed one on there show and picked up 1hp.. not bad for 300 bucks huh??? HAHAHAHAAA

save the money and spend it elsewhere! 300 for a chip?? or 550-600 for edit where you can do what 10000 chips do <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

all the chip does it make you think your faster by putting it in

crazyfarmer,
I was told I would need the chip when I change my rearend gears from stock to 3.73:1 so I can program my speedometer.Is there another way I can correct the speedometer without buying the chip?

There are many ways... HPP3, LS1 Edit (that's what I'd go with), Jet SCU 2000, Predator, custom programming to name a few.

You guys have to look at the way those chips work. It's a one solution for all. I'm guessing that all it does it increase timing and lean out the car a bit. It's assuming we're running rich, as most factory cars do. And adding a little timing usually helps.

But. If you're already running lean it will hurt you big time. Same for the timing. Adding timing on a car that already has 27-28 might not help much and if it adds like 4 deg and you're end up at 31, it might hurt performance and add KR.

MAFT does the same thing, but much better as you can make a custom tune so to say.

I really felt a difference with MAFT. My WOT timing was at stinkin 21 deg. Add 4 to that and car is flying. I'll probably add more later. I'm running 10% rich base and 2% lean WOT. So my mixture was a little off.

Oh yeah, you LS1 guys can't buy the MAFT+ so you'll have to buy the MAFT and Timing Ticker seperately.
