Default ~~~Need Edit Help~~~

Ok, I have had edit for awhile and have finally decided to start rough tuning my car. When I first received edit, I did the simple stuff like deleting the emissions codes, raising rev limiter, changing fan temps and cags. Now I am getting into the meat of the A/F tuning and I have a few questions. Here is the scenario so far:

1. I logged a few runs with autotap paying attention to my Knock Retard, Ltrims and 02's. My knock retard stayed at 0 and my ltrims were at +12avg. My O2's were around 880-890 at WOT. I took the advice of the LS1 Edit Faq and multiplied my MAF Table. I messed around with this until I found an acceptable number of 110.5%. This resulted in my ltrims being a stable average of -.08. I am happy with this number as this is very close to 0. The problem that I have now is that my O2's have pigged out to .920-.930.

2. I am looking at the faq now and it talks about adjusting this with the timing table, or the PE vs RPM table. I am not a tuning wizard, so this is all greek to me. I would appreciate some help as to what I should do to further tune the car and get these numbers within an acceptable range. Please be as thorough with your advice as possible, so that I can avoid confusion on my part. Thanks... George

PS, here is my car details:

1999 Trans Am WS6
M6
MAC midlength headers
off-road y-pipe
Ported Stock MAF (I know, but I am hoping I can work with what I got)
MTI Airlid
Holley Filter
Brian Green Ram Air Kit
Flowmaster 3" Catback
TR 224 cam (224/224 561lift 112lsa)
ASP Crank Pulley

editing the PE/RPM table fixes that...

but to be safe i wouldnt tune any of that till you get on wideband!! but as far as i know the PE/RPM table is just like the MAF table.. 101+ richens 99- leans

just find the rpms you are rich at and lean them out a little... but let some others help ya out cause i may be wrong on this.

BTW: if you dont have cats turn off the Cat over temp feature! that will help you run a little leaner on top end

We turned that off a little while back and it made a big difference. We were thinking about the PE/RPM table but are still a little new at it to jump in head first.

I'm hoping you tuned for the LTrims at part throttle and not using the logs from WOT. MAF tables should be tweaked to adjust LTrims for part throttle driving. I wouldn't worry about the LTrims at WOT.

After this, then use the Power Enrichment "RPM" button to tune for WOT air/fuel.

you are quite right.. We ran for about 12-15 minutes at part throttle to get our ltrim average. Then when we turned around, we did our WOT runs... So you are saying use the PE/rpm....
