Default A4 to M6 Conversion- Computer Question

i'm going through with the swap finally and i'm trading everything straight up with a guy's 00 TA.
I started to wonder today why exactly we couldnt trade computers? is it totally impossible for a 99-00 computer exchange?

thanks in advance

That'll work. VIN won't match (no biggie), gear ratio won't match so both speedos will be off and the A4's shifts points won't be perfect. The only other thing might be if one car has traction control and the other one doesn't (not sure if that is a problem or not).

It's a good way to get real close on both cars without doing any reprogramming.

awesome. anyone else have any experience with this? i figured 98 would be basically a stand-alone year for ls1 computers, 99-00 would be the same, and 01 02 would be an impossible swap.

my A4 computer has been LS1 Edited, and reprogrammed for 3.42 gears, which i have, so hopefully that will work out for both of our cars <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
