Last night it was quite chilly at the track and I think I heard my car pinging at the end of the run. Because its so cold and the air is dense, should I richen the car up a bit @ WOT with my MAFT?

Wow, that's bizarre!
Mine wants to ping only when the temperature is very hot outside!
Cold weather for me is like water injection...

ttt for ya....I have always thought that when it is cold you need to richen up as you are thinking....the pcm should compensate for you though. Any expert here? Good q.

The PCM should add what extra fuel is needed. thats why we have IAT's and such. However in some cases you do have to richen it up. The reason most people never notice any pinging is because the air is cooler. We all know hot air can help to start pinging.
