G-tech Competition Performance Meter
I was reading the owner's manual and it claims that the unit analyzes electrical noise signatures through the cigarette lighter and compares the noise to engine rpm. What ever it does, it seems to be reasonably accurate. Tach readings seemed to be on the money at all speeds. I would say that exact vehicle weight will make these units real accurate. The word from an engineer on the Corvette C5R team claims that they saw within 2 HP of their rwhp dyno numbers. I'm gonna have fun on my way to work tomorrow.............

Probably did about 50 runs against the englishtown timers..Got to the point I could tell my cars performance before I got to the booth to pick up the ticket just by subtracting .11 and 4mph from the gtech..Cool little toy..
The only thing to remember is that it begins working as soon as it senses foward motion and the street you run it on must be flat like the 1/4 mile track..if you want to use that as actual 1/4 mile data..Still..
Great tool for learning launch technique ..I like the new one in that it allows for 60 foot and 330ft times as well.
HOWS THE SHIFT LIGHT AND TACH LOOK ON THE NEW VERSION WHEN YOU INSTALLED IT?
