Default predator tuning

Has anyone else played with the predator tuning yet? I got this thing a couple weeks ago and like it so far but what is the best f-ing WOT timing and fuel enrichment for an esentially stock LS1? I only have most all free mods so far, K&N, and Flowmaster.

BfB said he got the best results from setting the timing to +10% (2 full degrees) advance and -1% lean. I got my best numbers from setting the A/F to 5% lean and 0 timing adjustment. BfB is way more familiar with the Predator so you may want to try his method. But keep in mind he can get 93 at the pump. You might be able to as well. But here in Ca. all we can get is 91 unless we want to run $5/gallon race fuel. So I can't advance the timing too far anyway.

Of course, a dyno with a wideband 02 is the only way to really know what you're doing and what works the best.

Can anyone tell me if I can just go full advance on the timing and slowly backup the fuel until a lean condition causes knock to back the timing up?

It seemed like the car prefered to go rich so far but I need the best timing number to look for too. It's expensive to dyno my car here so I'm afraid it'll cost me $1000 to get 10HP. We have 93 still here, but I'm sure my car would run better on Jack Daniels.

Since you can use 93, you should try what BfB said. Set the timing all the way to 2 degrees (10%) advance, then lean the car down to 1%. You'll probably notice a nice power gain. In fact, BfB said they were getting consistent gains of 12 RWHP this way using 93 octane gas. And, yes you can just adjust the timing all the way on the advance side and then slowly lean the fuel trims. Just err on the side of caution and if you hear it knock then back off 1% until you don't hear any knocking. But try the method above and let us know how it goes.

Thank you BullSSeye. I just got around to doing it today so I'll let you know how it really seems since I didn't have time to beat it up today.

Has anyone of you had a problem with the predator not letting you adjust the shift pressure?

No problems here. We tuned mine on the dyno and I liked what i saw. I think my little 5.3 wants more than 93 though.
