ls1edit, "desired shift time" question

ls1edit, "desired shift time" question when i floor my truck in 2wd it complety blisters the tires, it blows right past the shift point and hits the rev limiter. my 1-2 shift point is 5200rpm and the rev limiter is 6000rpm. will adjusting the "desired shift time" help it to shift faster so it shifts before it hits the limiter? i want it to just keep smoking the tires right into 2nd, not bang the rev limiter.
it is a flp tranny that i just got running a couple days ago, it shifts fine with good traction(4wd).

if you can open a 2002 file?
it might have something to do with your tranny line preasure
rather than shift time i kept my shift time the same as stock

Re: ls1edit, "desired shift time" question my line presure is controled by a vacume modulator now, i have no control there. in 4wd it shifts very fast and firm right at 5200rpm but not in 2wd, i hear that hiting the rev limiter is a bad thing with a blower.

Re: ls1edit, "desired shift time" question hey parish, not a permanent solution, but when u floor it in 4wd it shifts at 5200 as you say... so for now you could at least move up the numbers in that shift table to shift fine in 4wd. I'm assuming its just the performance mode section in all the shift numbers.

Re: ls1edit, "desired shift time" question i can adjust them i just want it to be safer and to me safer would be to not be able to hit the limiter ever, i think i will just try changing those numbers and see what hapens, i am not really ready to start looking for my best shift points yet, i have to get rid of the knock problem first.
