Lost my LS1 Edit tune??? Please HELP!!!
Went to the track last night and my rev limiter all of a sudden seems like it is set at around 6000RPM when it was tuned to be at 6800. The ONLY thing that was different that I am aware of is that the SPEED sensor on my tranny was disconnected because we had to put a BMR torque arm on and the Speed sensor's cable was not quite long enough for reconnection.
SO.........On a M6 car, would the fact that the speed sensor is not in the loop so to speak, cause the computer for some reason to default to a diffrent set of parameters because it is not geeting a signal from it's speed sensor. SPECIFICALLY, would the car ignore the LS1 REV LIMITER setting and go with the default value (6200RPM???).

YES rev limit is dictated by gear and if you have no speed sensor it thinks its in nuetral

You bet it would! A faulty VSS triggers a protection mode. Otherwise you might go out and run 300mph. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
It has its own adjustable parameter: RPM limit for Bad VSS.
