Re: LTFT Q...
I just want to expound on the original question. As my understanding goes, long term fuel trims are a collection of learned parameters. For example, if driving along a freeway at a constant speed for a 1/2 hour or longer, then changing to stop and go traffic, (noting LTFT's) shouldn't there be a difference? I've watched the Tech 2 while driving in both conditions and see LTFT's and STFT's sometimes positive and sometimes negative (although mostly negative) depending on the previous (1 hour or less) history. My wideband meter is almost always constantly hovering around 14.7 AFR during all the different driving conditions despite what the LTFT and STFT are doing. Going WOT produces a desired 12.8:1 AFRs. As I see it, the computer's target while cruising (part throttle) is Stoich (14.7:1AFR) and at least in my case, the computer does an excellent job maintaining that objective.
ChrisV 02 - Z28's comments seem to follow my own observations.
Good luck,
