Default Data Cable

I found the data cable i used on my old LT1. i really forget the brand but it has a serial port cable to a black box. from there 4 wires come out with pins on them red, white, blue and black. those pins just press into the pins on the data port.

does anyone know the LS1 obd2 pin layout and where to use what colors?

i'm assuming your old OBDII car was OBDI ? if as far as aI know you can't just rewire it to work with OBDII ... you would need OBDII software as well...
I'll try to dig up the wiring diagram in the morning...

ok... for wiring
pin 2 is the serial data
pin 4 is a ground
pin 16 is the 12v power source

so doubtful you'd be able to rewire your OBD1 cable to work... and even if you could the chip in the cable to convert OBDI to serial likely won't work for OBDII to serial
