Default Misfire detection

This is a simple question, but just bare with me. To get rid of misfire detection (keep my TC locked up) some people say that you should raise the min to 139 and the max to 140. That's actually in the operating range of the engine (granted warming up, but still). Would I be better off changing the values to 0 and 1 respectively? Thanks for the input.

those numbers are in celcius, hopefully not within your operating range. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I have not heard of that way but to get rid of the SES p0300 Multiple Missfires using LS1edit here is what we ( LunaticTA and I ) did on our cars ( 01SS, and 02WS-6 ).

We just bumped the idle up to 850 on mine and 950 on his, and changed the values under engine diagnostics/test parameters on the low rpm and idle by cyl we change all the values that were 32767 to 32000.

Neither of us has thrown a code since. Just FYI we were getting multiple missfires from the tr224/112 CAM we put in.

If your making this change because of a Cam install, raising the idle will help alot with the shaking at idle ( stop lights ). It will run nice and smooth.

Making the change to the engine diagnostics is just losening up the tests for misfires. So if you are having a real problem it will not be missed.
