timing problems ??????

timing problems ?????? i have a 2000ta that pings under hard accel at 4500 to 5000rpm it has ported maf ends 3.42 gears & all free mods. i am running 92oct. pump gas. any advice would much appreciated.

Re: timing problems ?????? Do you have autotap? If so autotap it and see exactly what is going on with timing. If you have a way to add fuel add 2% (either with ls1 edit or maft) and see if the pinging goes away. Good luck.
