Default Factory Rev Limiter???

What is the factory Rev limiter on a 2002 LS1. I have heard so many different things. My car hits the limiter at 5800 rpms, according to the tach. Also I have heard 6200. If that's the case then my tach is off. And also what is everyone shifting at? The car is stock with a lid, filter, and MAF sensor. Thanks for any info <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

I have seen the factory PCM file for a 2000 LS1 F-car. Rev limiter was 6200rpm. Not sure if '02 is any different.

Your tach is most likly off. Most of them are.

Your tach is lagging behind actual RPM's. They all do it. With a tuner prgram you can see actual RPM's from the ECM.

The stock flash file for my 2001 Firehawk has the rev limit at 6,200 rpms.

(stock 3.23 gears)
The shift points are:

1-2 37 MPH 6,000 rpms
2-3 76 MPH 6,000 rpms
3-4 125 MPH 5900 rpms
