Idle Problems after 110lsa cam, make suggestions please!

Default Idle Problems after 110lsa cam, make suggestions please!

A while back I put in a 224/224 106icl cam and my car would wan't to cut out after I let off the gas completely from cruzing. I have ls1 edit and have set the idle to 850 but the cam would not idle. I also tried adding timing and that did not work either (added the timing at base). I finally decided to drill the throttle body. I decided to drill the throttle body three sizes up because the car was idleing down to 400 and occassionally cutting off quite frequently. I bleive the size was 7/32nds if I remember correctly. Now, the car runs fine but when I am cruzing (i.e. the car pcm reads a posative number for my speed instead of zero my car idles at 1000 rpms and when it gets warmer it idles at 1500) again only while my car is in motion. As soon as I come to a complete stop the car idles at 850.

My questions is I know there are values in ls1 edit that can be changed to help this. If you look under some of the decay values they have values entered in for a certain mile per hour. How should I manipulate these in order to make my cruzing closed throttle idle the same as my stopped closed throttle idle? My idle timing is at 22-21 degrees. Is that too high? My dads z06 idle timing is around 16-17 degrees.

Also, sometimes when I warm start the car the idle will not go down to 850 for about 3 minutes regardless of whether I am moving or stopped. Any suggestions are appreiated.

Also, my autotap will not register IAC counts as they only stay at zero.

I think i may have over drilled mine also since I didnt know about a few other tricks you coulda done with edit at the time to help idle... you live and learn


anyone know how he can fix the over drilling?? I know he doesnt have to get a totally new TB does he?

You fix it by adjusting the IAC and timing.

put a rivet in the hole and start over.
