you shouldnt have any.... people run 4400's with no issues...

the only thing I can think of that MAY/COULD happen later down the road is issues where the converter locks and unlocks from misfire codes. Its usually from running ported ends.. I had to set my misfire temps to like 140 and 139 so the converter didnt unlock while I was driving normally...

but you will be fine.. just get the converter and have fun <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

I think that i have read where the aftermarket converter would lock up to early because the computer thought that is was slipping too much. Ever hear of this?

I have an '01 with a TCI 3500 stall converter and was getting a P0757 code ("2-3 shift solenoid stuck open") until I deleted the PCM's detection of that code with LS1_Edit. I was told that this code tends to pop up on '01 and '02 cars when a loose converter is installed. Just a heads up! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I have 2002 also. When I e mailed Yank they told me I would have problems with a high stall like a 4000. I think his name was Mike. Said I should stay around 3000 or less or I would need reprogramming.

thats not exaclty accurate. You may need some computer tweaking but its nothing 1000s of peopel havent already done.

Id stay away from peopel who recommend less than a 3000 stal in a ls1 car
