Mas Air Sensor I just ported the maf ends on my stock Mas Air Sensor and had my throttle body ported by Bauer (looked great). I'm worried about the premature transmission failure associated with ported stock maf ends. My question is whether it's more reliable and cheaper to just purchase a 85mm Mas Air Sensor from Granatelli or SLP (which one is better anyways) rather than getting an Autotap and then adjusting the Air/Fuel ratio with a Maf-T.

Re: Mas Air Sensor If I can get the same horsepower as with the stock ported, same gas mileage, and no transmission problems it is well worth the $150 as opposed to buying an Autotap and Maf-T to adjust the Air/Fuel ratio.

I'm new to the form but I purchased the SLP MAS &
the straight sleave to go w/ it. I noticed a slight gain at the throdle but not too much. It seemed the engine just breathed a little easier. I also have my cats taken out as well. Make sure if you do get a MAS to take out the screen before installation. Hope this helps.

Re: Mas Air Sensor I just installed a SLP 85mm MAF and lid on an '02 SS this weekend. I recorded MAF functions and LTFT before and after the install. The new MAF works very well. Calibration appears to be very close to the stock unit. Throttle response is crisp and clean. Now we need to head to the track and see the difference.
