Default Predator Newbies

I got one coming from that group purchase.

I know it's still kind of a new critter, but
does anyone know of any good sites that
have FAQs, personal settings / results / tips
/ tales of joy or woe, that sort of thing?

Sort of like cookbook?

Anything to keep from having to read the manual

The manual is like reading see spot run. There's like one or two lines on a lot of the pages. One of the easiest manuals on the planet IMO. I learned from BfB (a notable Predator tuner) that the best setting for these units is full advance and about 3-5% lean. That combination resulted in 14 RWHP/12 RWTQ on an 01 that we did a few weeks back. His only mods were DD and FIPK. BfB said the best he's seen in his shop was 24 RWHP on a modded Z06. Not to say that's what you'll get, but it should give you some idea of what can be obtained depending on the car and setup.

I played with my new Predator today.
See Spot run, like the man said.

Only Spot doesn't know squat about
deleting torque management, in the
book. Does this happen automagically,
when you do the canned performance tune,
or is this something you have to get
the support people to build into your
custom tune, and just how do you get
a custom one done anyhow? Seems like a
lot of potential here, but not much
depth to that little book.

It seemed like there were some folks
out there who were more "plugged in"
to what else you can get this thing to
do, by asking the right people. But,
who are these people, and where is the
plug?

Car does behave a lot better now, just
from the transmission settings and the
canned tune. I didn't even go to full
pressure or full shift time reduction,
and it's scuffing tires on the 1-2 shift
at part throttle. I guess I need better
tires.

You hit the nail on the head describing the intruction manual. It is very uninformative
