Default How to dyno a A4???

ok, i posted in the drivetrain section with no replies so i figured i'd try here.

The last time I dynoed the car did it from 60! The car just wouldnt dyno and it went straight for redline. No tranny issues or anything and infact it went 11.9 with those same mods at the dyno. I pulled 277/300 before the cam <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

anyway Ive been doing a little research and shouldnt he dyno my car from like 70+? My 3-2 downshift is 67 I think so I should go from 70ish right so it doesnt kick down to 2nd??

hell i dont care about the numbers, i just want to find my A/F!!!

I don't know if this makes sense, but can you change the speed at which the car will downshift from third to second using LS1 Edit? That would allow you to start the pull from a lower RPM, like an M6.

If you have LS1Edit you can modify the 3-2 shift MPH and force the transmission to stay in 3rd from low RPMs. You can also force the TCC to lockup for the run in Edit also. If you know someone with EFILive Pro you can lock the tranny and converter with a couple of clicks.

If none of the above is an option you will need to find the point at which it doesn't detent but as you know this won't give you very much data.

Just set the WOT 3-2 shift point at something like 5 MPH and you can then run it from any RPM you want to (shifter in D not OD).
