Default Which Should I buy LS1 Edit or Autotap

I am a very advanced computer user but am new the world of LS1 moding. I read a lot about you guys moding your cars and tweaking your PCM's. If I were going to buy one of these programs which one should I get Autotap or LS1edit? My car is a 2000 Z28 with an A4 that I bought new and will remain a daily driver so I won't be doing anything extreme.

So far my mods are a 160 stat, K&N filter with LS1 Motor Sport air lid, Magnaflow exhaust and cat back, 18" wheels, GM Factory SS ram air hood. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Unfortunately, you need both.

LS1 Edit's sole job is to pull the program from your PCM and edit it.

Autotaps sole job is to monitor all of the perameters on your PCM.

LS1 Edit = programming tool
A-tap = scaning tool

I recommed both. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Instead of autotap get EFILive or Ease. They're both much more powerful.

EFILive is like a good kept secret or something. I bought Autotap and once the salesman found out I had an LS1, he said I should've gotten EFILive. Of course it was too late. EFILive is a lot better monitoring tool than Autotap and it can even do other cool things like lock your torque converter if you have an A4. Supposedly there is some software coming out that will log AND let you tune called Tunercat. That's just my understanding, could be wrong.

Now all we need is for that guy down under to get with those guys from Ill. and we'll have one tool that does it all. I guess that will be called AutoEdit? Where do we line up?
