Guys....installed a 4 channel ABS/TCS Moser 12 bolt this weekend. After about 10 miles the ABS INOP light...TCS light...and brake light come on <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

After turning ignition off and re-starting, the lights are off for another 10 miles or so. WTF?

Made sure I had the same # of teeth(47) on the reluctor ring as was on the stock 10 bolt.

Checked all connections.....all good. Did notice though, that the sensor stud at the reluctor ring looks bent away from the ring....not perpindicular like the other side. Could this cause the prob?? Brakes seem to work well, but would like to know wassup...... <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

Any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated! TIA!!!!

 

are your front and back wheels the same size?


i have this problem when i run my skinnies on front and qtp's on rear.

 

Hhmmm....hadn't thought about that. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> 165R15's(24 1/4") front.... 26X 11.5X 15(25 3/4") back. So the difference of 1 1/2" would do it? Didn't want to go w/a taller tire up front for the obvious reasons. Can TechII or Edit do anything for this or do I just live w/it? <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

 

When I put my 26x11.5 ET streets on welds on, I get the san=me thing. I have weld skinnies on the front also. When I have the 275/50/15 Nittos on the rear I get no lights!!

 

i have the same rear as you, i took it to my friend @ the dealer and he said it was the rear abs sensor, from the dealer i think theyre $50 or so but im getting the same lights abs, brake, low trac and the car stops fine. i will buy the sensor some time next week hope that helps

i think the reason it does this is because the pcm sees the front wheels turning at a different speed than the back wheels, and since there is an abs sensor at all 4 wheels, it probably sees a low traction condition of some sort and sets the lights off. i dont think it effects the car in any way performance wise.

 

you are all right on the chili. if the pcm sees wheels turning at a different speed it thinks there is a constant traction issue thus your code. think about it as if you were actually in a low traction situation.

 

Sorry for the New Post, hit the wrong button. Please delete the post someone. Anyway, I'm haveing the brake light/ abs inop light and the asr light come on. And I loose my traction control. If the same answer apply's sorry the the wasted space.
