Will I need tuning with headers and TC?
Will I need tuning with headers and TC? i have a car with a lid muffler combo now. Fast toys ram air, and jet hot headers and ORYP are in the mail, on their way! 02 sims are $20 from my buddy.
will that combo require tuning? i know i can get rid of 02 sims with LS1 Edit, but will my car run much better with tuning?
STAGE 2: a torque converter is in the not too distant future, if i get tuning after my header combo, will i need a RETUNE after adding a converter?

Re: Will I need tuning with headers and TC? you will need some form of tuning. Whether it be a full tune w/ edit or just minor a/f adjustments with a MAFT. I am getting a full tune, because i do not plan on doing any other engine mods for atleast 4 years. However, if you see a cam/heads combo in your future, i'd wait to get a tune after that, and just use the MAFT for now.
as for the tc.... i'm not sure what kind of tuning will or wont be needed after that. someone else can answer that one for ya.

Re: Will I need tuning with headers and TC? Try to find a shop like MTI here in houston. You pay $500 once. Then whenver you need a retune you take it back to em and they do it for free. I am seriously considering this since my LT headers. I am running rich and my timing is a few degrees low.
