Default Air/Fuel gauge Vs. Autotap ?

I recently purchased a digital display Air/Fuel Gauge from Speed Shop. I tapped into the 02 wire from the driversside.

The guage at WOT shows .845 but autotap showed .917.

Why is there a difference?

Thanks

Difference in ground potential would be my guess.

All PCM signals are usually routed back to a PCM ground.

If the gauge uses its own ground, then they may give different potential readings when measuring off of the same 'hot' wire.

neither atap or that guage is gonna be dead on.... to find out which is telling the truth get on a wideband dyno and see how she looks <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> then you will know which one to look at closer

I wish there was a Dyno close to me so I could use the wide-band. The closet dyno would be Dallas a 6 hr drive.

Thanks for the help.
