I recently purchased a '99 SS to ease the pain of trading in my '99 'vert on my wife's Hemi Jeep. I thought I'd leave it alone, but that's obviously not going to happen.
I'm considering purchasing a Vinci hand-held tuner, but I'm curious if there's a differance between it and the Crane tuner sold by Summit, etc.
I'm also wondering if once I install the FTRA I have on the way should I richen the fuel with the tuner if I decide to get one, or will the PCM compensate for any additional air flow?
As is, the car has a Loudmouth, lid, Granatelli MAF, and a few suspension mods.
Thanks,
Mark

I would like to maybe make the suggestion to replace your Granatelli MAF with a stock MAF. Your computer is not calibrated for a MAF with a higher flow, like the Granatelli.

I just bought a used Vinci version 1.0.It had another cars vin # in there from when the person cleared a code, the earlier versions hold the vin number,i had to send mine in,the good news,is the guy's at Vinci are easy to work with and are giving me the lastest version for 50 bucks.Just have to wait for the turn around.
Question...can i run n2o with the Vinci?I only saw were they talked about supercharged motors.

back when the wife's car had those mods, i used the hiperf/stock cam with +10% timing advance. (here comes the disclaimer) honestly though, best way to figure it out would be on a dyno. buy some time and tune it.
