Bad O2 sims?

Bad O2 sims? I just had O2 sims added to the car and I had the SES code deleted. Now the car runs like crap. I had a catted y-pipe on it first and went to a LT/ORY with the O2 extensions up front with the rear O2 sims. Could that cause the popping and sputtering I'm experiencing?
Double check all of your connections. Chances are it's a spark plug not fully connected or something along those lines. The only thing that might happen related to the O2 sensors is if you had a serious exhaust leak that is tricking the PCM to dump in waaaaayyyyy too much extra fuel.

If you put O2 sims in then the SES code should have shut off, right? Why did you have to tune it out? I'm having the same problem as you after my header install, my car sputters, has less power than before the headers and has gas popping in the exhaust too. I still haven't figured out the problem. I'm still searching for exhaust leaks though.
The sims only take care of rear efficiency codes. They have
no effect on running. However reusing old stock O2s (via
extensions) is often not good with long tubes, )2s need all
the heat they can get and a bare ORY is liable to lose more
heat than a catted one (less back pressure = less heat in
the front end, by your basic ideal gas law). Cold O2 looks
like dead-lean O2, see what your LTFTs are saying about
the situation at the RPM where you pop. And look at the
O2 waveforms, are they even awake?

I just ziptied my o2s to whatever was close by, still plugged up. I already had my vinci tuner installed and after the header install it acted like nothing was wrong. NO SES lights.

Well, wouldn't you know it.... had a cracked spark plug on the driver side. Replaced 'em all and the car still ran like crap. Found out it was TWO bad plug wires. Now with new plugs and wires the car runs like a bat out of hell. Thanks for all your help.
