The truck based LS1 come in three sizes 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0. Some parts of the trucks motors are beter than the car. But, on the whole the car (5.7L) are beter than the truck motors. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: LS1 Keep in mind, Y-Body's (Corvette's) which started using LS1's in 97 also use a few different things like Electronic thottle body and a different oil pan than the 98 - 02 LS1 in the F-Body.
So if you want the simpler of the two, look for F-Body LS1's unless you don't mind swapping stuff around.

The aluminum block is strong enough though to support about 600 hp, though.
