LS1
<strong> Fbodys from 1998 to 2001 use them. Y bodys started I think one year earlyer. </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Actually 98-2002. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
The truck based LS1 come in three sizes 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0. Some parts of the trucks motors are beter than the car. But, on the whole the car (5.7L) are beter than the truck motors. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
So if you want the simpler of the two, look for F-Body LS1's unless you don't mind swapping stuff around.

The aluminum block is strong enough though to support about 600 hp, though.
