ASR shuts itself off
Now, my question is, did the light come on because the little electric motor didn't have the load of that spring loaded gear working against it? Or did it come on because the PCM didn't see the TPS reduced at all? I think I could work out a way to either force the spring back onto the gear and grind the secondary teeth smooth, or work out a tension strap to fake it out. But if the PCM is calling the shots based on the TPS, I think I'm screwed. The only good thing is that I get one good launch out of the setup before the PCM disables the ASR till the next startup.
Thanks for any help.
