Default What is Burst Knock?

I understand knock and knock retard. I'm confused as to what "Burst" or "Tip In" knock is. When scanning what would I look for to differentiate them?? Gurus....Help!!??? <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

From my understanding, it is basicly anticipated knock. When make a drastic load change, the PCM will pull a few degrees of timing in anticipation of knock. Kind've a 'safer than sorry' knock retard.

Cause it takes the maf a bit to get with the program on big load changes. Wish the 98's had this table.
