Instead of dpending 300 bucks, why don't you just get a Keyspan adapter and forget about it? My laptop would not work with Atap OR Edit w/o it. Now it works fine (XP home ,USB's, 102 Celeron, 15 " screen, DVD player/CD) my laptop was 800 tho. The concept still applies! Toshiba Laptop Sattelite 1105

hmm, old thread but i have a question for the guys that leave their laptops in the car. how well do they hold up to baking out there in the car? do you do anything special to keep them cool? i'm looking for a laptop for my Atap/edit program(future) and would love to leave it in the car but i dont want it melting on me on a hot summer day.

I leave mine in the car all the time. No problem at all.
