Help me get this car into closed loop!!!
We drove the car around for 45 minutes, Autotapping it the whole time. LTFT's never moved off 0, no matter what we did with the throttle, so it's definitely staying in open loop. Both O2's are good. He has a 160-degree thermostat, so I tried lowering the "Closed Loop Enable Temp" in LS1_Edit. Still no closed loop. I tried raising that value... Still no closed loop.
The only other symptom the car showed was a P0102 low frequency MAF error, which we traced to a blown fuse (thanks to a 1:00 a.m. search on this board! ). Once we replaced that fuse, no more codes were thrown.
HELP!!!! What else can I change to get the car to go into closed loop???
have you tryed relearning the pcm
1. Turn key to the "on" position but don't start car
2. Pull the PCM BAT and PCM IGN fuses in engine compartment
3. Wait approximately 5 minutes
4. Turn ignition off
5. Replace fuses
6. Start the car and then make sure the light has gone off
Just curious.
I do like your screen name
The car has the following tuning changes, done by me:
- Stock fuel and timing tables (for the time being)
- EGR deleted, all EGR codes deleted
- Rear O2's deleted, all rear O2 codes deleted
- CAGS deleted
- COT protection deleted (longtubes, no cats)
- Speedometer adjusted for 3.70 gears
- Rev limiter raised to 7000 RPM
- Torque management deleted
- Misfire code detection deleted
- Idle raised to 1150 RPM across the board
- Lowered fan-on temps (car has a 160-degree thermostat)
The car still reaches 187 degrees at operating temperature... Anybody have any ideas on how to get the thing to go into closed loop? (I can create an "open loop only" PCM file for him, but I don't think that's what either of us wants to do... Seems like a temporary solution only.)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Good luck,
