Default a quick question about custom OS.SD tune

hey fellas i have EFI live and a custom programmed PCM for a SD tune. When i install that PCM can i just program in my current tune and expect it to work, and then allow me to fine tune from there...or do i have to start all over with a fresh tune?

Thanks
Louie

HumpinSS is right, it will work, and be sure to follow the tutorials.

Be sure to post on the EFILive forum, because not everyone over there frequents here.

Regards
Joe

fair enough.

Thanks fellas...but what turorials are you guys speaking...i have been looking all over for good links and tutorials to help me through the learning curve using EFI live...but i am not quite getting a real good idea of it yet.

And real great links that thoroughly explain how everything affects everything else? or a good baseline idea of how everything should run, what is optimal timing? etc.

thanks
Louie

ok...well after reading the entire tutorial i only have a single question...

ok i have a seperate PCM that i purchased with a SD program already on it. With that being said i am assuming that i will start straight at step 4 with that pcm installed and just reflash my current tune into that pcm...then follow the tutorial from there and finely tune.

If this sounds about right please let meknow

Thanks
Louie

step 4 on which tutorial? If you are using a different PCM you may need to do a crank relearn (Don't ask me how to do one I have never needed to do one before).

Also, will cost you another license to use a different pcm. They lock to the PCM you first used it on, not the vehicle or vin but the pcm.
