ses light, another 02 problem

i had posted this earlier, but after i replaced the 02 sensor, bank 2 sensor one, front passenger, the car ran fine. 70ish miles later(about 3 weeks) the ses light came back on. read the same as before. ckt slow response and insufficient switching. maybe the wiring? car is a 98 z28 w/ 95k m6.

Does it seem to happen only when the car is started on a cold day? Mine seem to spit out SES when I start it on cold days.

no, it happens more once ive been driving for 10-15 miles. but it makes me feel better that other people get the light with nothing wrong.

my car keeps spitting out ses codes for the 02 sensor, even after i replace them. please help!

Do you put a bigger cam in the motor? Mine started doing the same when I installed the MS3. I think it is because it threw off the MAP sensor with the low manifold pressure. It seems to kill the same 02 sensor in a matter of a few weeks. I need a tune bad.

Check wiring to make sure it isnt damaged or melted. You also could have damaged the new sensor upon install. Did you bang it on anything or get anything on it?

You did reset the PCM after you replaced it right?

lol, yeah i reset the pcm. i just yanked out the o2 sensor, and it was covered in black sooty stuff. i put a new one in, hopefully ill have better luck. also replaced the fuel filter. i checked as much wiring as i could, nothing i could see.
