IAC - hptuners
How do I determine what my IAC, STIT, and LTIT should be? I'm very new to tuning and slowly learning and right now I'm just trying to get my car to idle good with the cam. Thanks

I am having the same issue. I am using HPTuner and I have looked at the help files and the new tutorials that have been linked. It isn't that I don't understand how to create a custom table or PID, it is that I don't know what sensors I should be looking at or PID's. I do not see a selection for STIT or LTIT in my sensors or PIDs.

I used this method to get my car to idle with a cam and it worked great. I have my idle speed set to 900..

you have to add them into your table. your gonna have to also remove some pids so you dont drop any frames.
-open your table in the scanner
-right click on an empty cell
-click engine/idle
there you will find the PIDS you need. There is also a histogram called RAF that you will need to open up in order to fix your idle.
remember to save the cfg. also, your going to need to log dynamic airflow which is under the airflow tab. hope that helps.

I guess that there are no LTIT and STIT functions in the 98 PCM or atleast I can't find them. I was told that if this is the case then use the idle desired airflow histo. I logged it but the values seem to be coming up way lower than I expected. Not sure if I am doing something wrong. Here is what I got from 68F up when I logged it.
12.51003 8.20288 6.87709 6.00305 5.02912 4.33490 3.72875 3.64910
I read that I am supposed to cut and paste this over my base idle airflow table in the editor. The numebrs just seem really low on the hot end.
HELP PLEASE!!!!

i think either way you should be able to control them, but ive never messed with a 98 so i dont know for certain. Do u have the RAF histogram loaded? i know you need LTIT in park and neutral, STIT, dyn ariflow, ect and there may be something else im missing, but those need to be in the table for u to log. i dont think i have mine cfg with me, but if i find it, pm me your email address and ill email it to you. im about to go to bed and im a day ahead of you, so i guess later tonight or tomorrow morning you'll have it if i can find my config. You can also go on hptuners site. i cant remember who, but someone posted all the cfg's they use for different things...you could try looking for that. its a sticky so it should be rather easy to find...i think..
