Question regarding tuning/diagnostic software
The scan tools are very extensive and allow you to do the service manual diagnoses.
The tune tunes are also very extensive and easy to use.

- Keith, HP Tuners
HPTuners also has online web help, as Keith said, which is very cool.
For EFILive see here: http://www.efilive.com/download.aspx#tutorials
Also, you can download the EFILive software (without a licence it runs in demo mode) and play with the sample logs and sample tunes; the installation includes the help docs and tutorials.

The scan tools also have bi-directional mode which lets you switch on/off all the engine/trans. relays and solenoids from your laptop; very handy for diagnosing problems.
