Question P0412 CODE??? help

Ive had my 99 camaro z28 m6 for about 3 months now and all of a sudden my service engine soon light comes on... i hooked my scan-tool up to it and it say P0412 which is the Secondary Air Injection System Switching Valve A Circuit Malfunction. i erased the code and it didnt come back on (the vehicle was warmed up). then i turned it off and started up the next morning and it came back on (the vehicle was cold). so what im asking is what is causing the code to appear. I know what and where the AIR system is but what is the "switching valve A"? any help would be greatly appreciated in how to fix this problem. thanks, chase.

Welcome to the board. First thing to check is the AIR PUMP fuse - sending you a PM.
