VCM flashed crapped out on me....
I did a write calibration file only, as I always do, and it always takes 28secs. So today I start it, set the laptop down on the passenger seat as I always do and just wait for it to finish and then notice about 1min later its still going and my dash keep throwing ALL kinds of errors messages, REDUCED POWER, LOW FUEL, SERVER ENGINE SOON, im like "WTF?" I look at the laptop and its only at 18% and I keep seeing it having issues and it keeps trying to write at low speed, it then writes a few percent like 2, then has issues again, like in a never ending loop, during this whole time, my dash keeps going wild with those errors constantly changing. I stayed calm and said, lets just abort it cause its been 3mins and its getting no where.
So Turn the ignition off, turn the ignition back on and try the write calibration file again. This time it says going into Recovery and writes the calibration in 28secs and done, start car, good to go.
THIS is why I love HPTuners. Defintely key to only do Write Calibration to avoid frying the VCM.

They were the first ever to offer this functionality (I killed a PCM w/LS1 Edit or rather.. edit couldn't recover)Just another example of why HP tuners is the best

btw, I was stuck in my car for 45min. one day when it did that and I thought if I do anything I would loose the pcm, thank goodness I rolled my windows down a few inches before I started, around noon in a home depot parkinglot, lol...
"Write Calibration Only" is the regular, safest and fastest way to rewrite the VCM. ALWAYS use "Write VCM" when making regular tuning changes."
