yea i think something got fried tech worked on it today but computer wont let him in he clears the codes and it locks him out again. now im a little worried about fried pcm or bcm the guys down at the dealership are working hard but its a long process. arching not good but it was just a lose conection jumping spark from battery cable to i guess the starter itself it wasnt close to the header or engine. the closest sending umit was oil pressure and its fine. i dont know ill leave it to the techs and hope for the best

OK, for future reference, what caused this, and where is it located?

on the driver side of the engine near the firewall about 1/2 way down block is a ground wire. the wire is conected to a bolt on the motor with a c style end. when pushing the header up from the bottom i guess it caught the wire and pulled it from behind the bolt. we looked and looked but just never saw it. syptoms were so similiar to vats everyone started pcm and bcm diagnosyics and it was ohhhhh soooo simple

Glad you fixed the problem. I think this should serve as a public service announcement for disconnecting the battery before you do work in the engine compartment, even if you are not necessarily doing something electrical. You never can tell.

we did disconnect before working it was after everything got instsalled that the problems showed. we are still baffled at what happened

2xls1 i have all the confidence you guys will do it up for me and maybe it will be a little bit closer to a beast with a 100 shot and that cam.

just to clarify the problem was hard to diagnose because the ground would touch the bolt with the car sitting not running then when fired it would shake the wire losing contact to the bolt and kill the car im so glad its fixed as irony goeswhen i left the dealership got on it and the clutch is going so now it gets a spec with everything else it would have needed it anyway $$$$$$$ im broke now lol
