Default Need Help ASAP!! What could cause the surging?

We have tuned my 2000 ws6 with my HP tuner. We have tuned the transmission, idle, VE, and all other basics. It hasn't been tuned for WOT yet. My problem is when I'm going down the road and the stall locks up the car will start to "surge" and jerk. It doesn't surge a lot any other time, but just when it shifts 3 to 4th and the stall is locked up. We messed with the spark a little but couldn't get it worked out. I don't know if it matters but it is in speed density mode. When we scan it going down the road the MAP jumps up and looks really jagged while the advance goes down and is really jagged.

I really need to get this figured out any input would be appreciated.

it has the tci 3800 stall, stage II patriot heads, and a 232/240 comp cam

Possibilities

- misfires
- lean mixture
- too low a lock up speed

Also an overly rich condition, too low timing.

Just to elaborate a little... bigger cams can (and will) buck under load at lower RPM's, even if your timing is dead on. Thats why you may need to raise the speed for TC lockup.

I checked around the engine and I do have small hose from the back of the intake that was left off when I put the heads and cam in it. I believe it is the hose that controls the vents in the car.

Also it really does it worse when the car locks up going about 40 mph around town. So I'll increase the speed for the stall to lockup. I'm out of town right now but I'll try those two things this weekend and post back up. Any other things that I might try?? It hasn't had the WOT tuned, but just a small adjustment in the spark table so it wouldn't be so choppy. I checked my log for the tune and the trims are scanning at -3 to 0 all through the table.
Thanks for the input
