Default any way to lose a tune?

can you lose a tune by disconnecting the battery. or anything like that.

Nope. You can leave the battery disconnected for as long as you want, and the tune will stay. If you are running a closed loop tune, it will lose any learned values (like your fuel trims), but those will be relearned in a short amount of time.

thanks, i was afraid it might reset the pcm to stock.

It's kinda obvious, but I'll point out one way to lose a tune is if the dealer (or some other service tech) reprograms it. In some cases people have lost expensive custom tunes when the dealer erased them without permission.

Never take it to a dealer if you have a custom tune, they wil most likly flash it and you will lose everything , it happen to a buddy of mine, 500 bucks down the drain !
