Default lc-1 question??

I have tried all I know and have posted this on innovate site and can't get a answer......... I tried to use my lc-1 and hp today and it stayed at a constant 7.69 I think I can't remember now but anyway so I decided to hook the lc-1 straight to the laptop so I plugged into the out plug of lc-1 and when I tried to open lm programmer it said (please connect device to serial port and switch it on) on the innovate site they ask me did I put the terminater plug in the in plug of lc-1 no I didn't I don't even have one..... does anyone know why that would need to be done? it's just a wire right?

Thxs. Robert

You will need to use the terminator plug for the Serial-In of the LC-1. This completes the communication loop.

Check your thread out on HPT's website...I linked you to an Innovate thread that will tell you how to make a terminator plug yourself. It is "just" a plug, but without it, you ain't gonna do anything...

Steve, can you post it here, or a link to it...?

Thanks.

Yeper:

The terminator plug is essential...without it, you won't be able to connect to it at all.

Hmmmmmm...clicking on those links isn't working for me.

Just go to innovatemotorsports.com, go to their forum, and do a search for "terminator plug". You'll have to do some sifting, but you'll find out exactly what the terminator plug is. "klatinn" is the local guru that will give you the best info.

what i had to do for a quick fix was go the an electronic store and get a 2.5mm headphone jack. What you do is soilder a piece of wire from each end together. this closes the circuit. because the housing didnt fit, i just used shrink wrap
